Any advertising, promotion or sponsorship of tobacco or alcohol products including TV scenes, newspaper ads, social media posts, banners, product placements in teledramas and similar materials can be reported.
Open the app, choose the Source (Television, Newspapers, Social Media, Other) and Category (Teledrama, Advertisement, Photo, Video clip), mark the Nature (Tobacco, Alcohol, Both), attach photo/video evidence, and submit.
Yes. The contact number field is optional. If you provide a number, VNATA may contact you for clarification.
Sinhala, English and Tamil. You can use the app and submit reports in any of these languages.
Your report is reviewed by VNATA. If follow up is needed and you provided a number, a representative may contact you. For counselling or guidance, you can also call the helpline 1948.
Your details are handled securely and used only for enforcement and public-health purposes. The contact number is not mandatory.
